On December 3, Venus Medtech received the 2021 Corporate Public Welfare Contribution Pioneer Award at the 5th Qingsongchou Philanthropy Ceremony, which is reputed as the Oscar Award for charity, designed to honor enterprises with outstanding achievements in corporate social responsibility in the year. Venus Medtech proudly stood out from nearly 100 candidates for philanthropic contribution through improved TAVR access. We were also the only high-value medical consumables provider among eight award winners.

 

Better TAVR access to patients

As the leading transcatheter heart valve medical device player in China, Venus Medtech is the first R&D-driven medical device company to launch transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) products in the country, which brings good news to elderly heart valve disease patients who are not suitable for Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement (SAVR). This innovative transcatheter alternative greatly reduces the risk of surgery in senior patients. Driven by a strong sense of awe and responsibility of human life, as we seek a constant improvement on our heart valve pipeline with innovation, we make consistent efforts to promote health literacy on heart diseases.

 

As we continue to develop and market innovative products with high clinical values, as a private enterprise committed to engaging and empowering the community, we have a keen concern for patients with heart valve diseases. Intermittent local COVID-19 resurgence did not impede our charitable initiatives to support these patients. As of December 2021, we co-organized more than 60 free treatment events in 21 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the country, engaging 300+ medical specialists and benefitting 2,000+ patients. Nothing could be more rewarding than the thank-you phrases and smiles we received.

 

Spreading love and giving back to the community is our constant endeavor. This award has strengthened our belief in public good. Moving forward, we will uphold our original aspirations to better fulfill corporate social responsibility, linking economic benefits with social benefits and aligning business development with social development.
